COLORADO SPRINGS -- After winning their third consecutive Mountain West Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship on Saturday, the BYU women’s track and field team has earned 15 MWC All-Conference selections.

All athletes finishing in the top three in their respective events at the MWC championships receive All-Conference recognition. The 15 selections for the BYU women’s team were the most among men’s or women’s teams at the championships.

BYU swept the All-Conference awards in both the 5000m run and the pole vault. Morgan Haws, Katie Bowen and Katy Andrews took the top three spots in the 5000m while Rachel Fisher, Christen Botteron and Kelli Ehardt nabbed the top three in the pole vault.

Two Cougars earned All-Conference honors in the 800m, with Lacey Bleazard taking first in the event for the third consecutive season and Nicole Clark placing third.

The high jump also featured two BYU athletes in the top three, with Ada Robinson taking first and breaking the MWC meet record by clearing 1.85m (6-00.75). Junior Diana Blauer also earned All-Conference honors in the event by placing third.

Senior Porshe Giddings led BYU in the sprint events, earning All-Conference honors in both the 60m and the 200m. Junior Natalie Stewart placed third in the 400m in 53.95 to earn an All-Conference selection in the event.

Seniors Kari Hardt and Mindy Sagers both earned All-Conference honors in multiple events. Hardt placed in the top three of the mile and 3000m while Sagers placed third in both the pentathlon and 60m hurdles.

BYU will continue the indoor track season this week as several athletes head to the Last Chance Invitational to improve their ranking before the National Championships.
