COLORADO SPRINGS -- The Mountain West Conference announced its Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field all-Conference teams today, with both the BYU men and women earning the most citations in the conference.

BYU had 16 men earn 20 All-Conference honors and 15 women also earn a combined 20 All-Conference honors as both Cougar teams took the team outdoor championship after winning the indoor conference championship earlier in the year.

Six Cougars earned multiple All-MWC honors after their performances at the MWC Outdoor Championships, led by senior Mindy McClurkin's four citations for her performances in the 100 meters, 200 meters, long jump and the 4x100 relay, all of which McClurkin came in first.

On the men's side, junior Leif Arrhenius led with three honors after winning the discus and hammer and taking second place in the shot put.

McClurkin and Arrhenius won the meet's two High Point Awards as McClurkin led all women with 32.5 of BYU's 204 points and Arrhenius added 28 of the men's 211 total.

BYU women's head coach Craig Poole was also named MWC Women's Coach of the Year, the sixth time he was won the outdoor award. Poole was also named Outdoor Coach of the Year in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2007 and 2009.
