Ten BYU women to vie for national titles in the Duke City

BYU women's track and field competes at the 2022 NCAA Division I Indoor National Championships

PROVO, Utah — No. 17 BYU women's track and field will compete 11 athletes in seven different events at the 2023 NCAA Division I Indoor National Championships at Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico March 10-11.

    Distance Medley Relay History

    • 2023 marks BYU's seventh consecutive season qualifying a women's DMR squad for indoor nationals.
    • Alena Ellsworth, Lauren Ellsworth-Barnes, Olivia Hoj Simister and Courtney Wayment combined to win the 2021 national title with a time of 10:52.96 (then a school record). 
    • Alena Ellsworth returns to the Albuquerque Convention Center for the first time since it played host to the 2020 Indoor National Championships. Ellsworth, Lauren Ellsworth-Barnes, Anna Camp-Bennett and Whittni Orton were slated to compete for DMR title prior to the meet's abrupt cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
