Folsom Walker, Torgerson compete at Bryan Clay Invitational

AZUSA, Calif. — Heptathletes Halley Folsom Walker and Mayci Torgerson were the lone BYU track and field athletes to compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Wednesday.

Through four events, Folsom Walker stands in sixth place, with 3321 points, and Torgerson’s 2830 points have her in 28th. Folsom Walker set new personal bests in the 100m hurdles (14.01), high jump (1.70m/5-7) and the 200m (25.18).

The pentathletes have the long jump, javelin throw and 800m remaining, and will continue the Invitational on Thursday, beginning with the 800m at 10:45 a.m. PDT. The Cougars are also set to kick off competition at the Mt. Sac Relays with the shot put at 1 p.m. PDT.
