Folsom Walker competes in heptathlon as Texas Relays begin
AUSTIN, Texas — Senior heptathlete Halley Folsom Walker was the lone Cougar to compete on day one of the 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays presented by Truist at Mike A. Meyers Stadium on Wednesday.
Through four events, Folsom Walker stands in 14th place of the heptathlon with 3,191 points. The senior placed ninth in the high jump (1.68m/5-6) and shot put (11.61m/38-1.25), 12th in the 100m hurdles (14.397) and 13th in the 200m with a time of 25.93.
Heptathlon competition will conclude on Thursday, March 24, starting with the long jump at 10:30 a.m. CDT. Cailee Faulkner, competing in the pole vault at 2:30 p.m., will join Folsom Walker as the two BYU women's athletes to represent the Cougars on Thursday.
