BYU Athletics to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day, Feb. 3

PROVO, Utah — BYU athletics will participate in this year’s National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) at the women’s basketball game vs. Gonzaga on February 3.

The event begins Saturday, at 1 p.m. MST on the concourse level of the Marriott Center.

Student-athletes from all of BYU’s Division I women’s sports programs will be in attendance, hosting several stations including a photo booth. Participants will receive a free NGWSD custom poster that the athletes can sign. The first 150 fans will get a free pink t-shirt and enjoy free pink mint brownies.

Attendees will also get NGWSD swag as well as learn about competing in sports at the collegiate level and working in athletics, specifically in marketing and social media.

During the women’s basketball game that starts at 2 p.m., more NGWSD celebration promotions will take place, highlighting women’s athletics and the school’s sports camps.

The NGWSD event is free and includes admittance to the women’s basketball game.
