BYU women's track team ranks in top-25
PROVO, Utah – The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association issued a release Monday morning announcing the rankings of the outdoor track and field teams. The BYU women’s track and field team came in ranked at No. 18.
This is the first time this season the team has been ranked in the top-25. The last time the team was ranked in the top-25 was during the 2012 season when the Cougars were ranked No. 23.
The previous rankings listed the BYU women’s team at No. 44. Since then the team has jumped up in rank 26 spots. The team started at No. 76 in the preseason rankings and has gradually made its way each week to the current ranking.
The USTFCCCA also released a list of the best event squads in the country. An event squad is the best foursome in the country by an event. The BYU women's team holds the top spot for the steeplechase with a squad average of 10:17.24.

The BYU track and field team will host its first meet of the outdoor season this coming Friday, April 28, and Saturday, April 29.
