Revised schedule for NCAA track and field prelims

LAWRENCE, Kansas – After an opening day full of rain and wind, the NCAA Track and Field Division I West Preliminary events scheduled for Thursday have been postponed and and moved to Friday.

All running events will be run as quarterfinals. Advancement in each event will be as follows:

  • 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, plus hurdles: heat winner and the next six fastest times advance.
  • 1500m: top two, plus the next four fastest times advance.

Both the men's and women's pole vault, as well as the men's and women's high jump, will be contested indoors at Anschutz Sports Pavilion. 

All other running events advance as printed on the original heat sheets.

LIVE STREAM UPDATE

A live stream and broadcast will be hosted for all running events on Friday and Saturday. The stream will begin at 8am with the women's 10k. There will be a video feed but no commentary for the 10k races. The formal broadcast will begin at 9:15, with commentary following for the rest of Friday's running events.
