Goodman, Jarvis place first at Weber State Twilight Meet

OGDEN, Utah – Dillon Goodman continued his strong season in the 110-meter hurdles, taking first place at this week's Weber State Twilight Meet with a time of 14.97.

Goodman has been the fastest among all BYU 110-meter hurdlers this season and is currently on pace to qualify for the West Regionals in late May.

In other track events taking place on Tuesday, Michael Abbott tied a season-best time in the 100m, finishing in 10.74 and taking second place, while Tyler Sorensen also took second in the 200m with a time of 21.84.

Among male throwers, Jefferson Jarvis took first place and threw a new season best in the shot put with a mark of 52–10.75 (16.12m).

In the women’s sprints, Diamond Thomas placed second in the 100m with a time of 11.93, while Ellie Heiden placed fourth in the 200m, running a season-best 25.08. Heiden then followed her 200-meter race with a third-place finish in the 400m with a time of 57.29.

In the throwing events, Hillary Hollon launched a season-best throw of 41–1.75 (12.54m) in the shot put to finish fourth, and Elyse Cuthbertson took second in the javelin throwing 128–03 (39.09m).

On Saturday, BYU track and field will be in action at Occidental College for the Oxy Invite in Los Angeles, California. Live results will be posted at flotrack.org.
