PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s and women’s track and field has released its 2015 indoor and outdoor schedule, which features a trip to New York City and several national invitationals along the west coast.

The Cougars will begin the indoor season hosting the BYU Cougar Collegiate Invitational on Jan. 9-10. During the month of January, BYU will travel to Idaho, Colorado, New York and Washington for meets. The month of February is highlighted by two meets in New Mexico and a trip once again to Washington.

“We’re excited to travel to New York City for the Armory Invitational,” BYU head coach Ed Eyestone. “We’ll also have a couple great opportunities to race up in Seattle which has proven to have a top-notch indoor racing facility.”

The indoor season consists of 10 total meets and concludes with the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on Mar. 13-14.

The outdoor season will begin Mar. 20-21 in Los Angeles at the USC Trojan Invitational. Most of the other outdoor meets will also be held in California, including the Aztec Invitational hosted by San Diego State University, and the Stanford Invitational. The Aztec Invitational is the last weekend in March, while the Stanford Invitational is the following week in April.

“We have multiple opportunities to match up against some of the best competition in the country,” Eyestone said. “We constantly seek opportunities to compete against the best so we’re excited for our outdoor schedule.”

The outdoor schedule includes 14 meets ending with the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon, on June 10-13.
