
Women look for more qualifiers at Mt. SAC

PROVO, Utah—The BYU women’s track and field team will travel to Walnut, Calif. to compete in the Mt. SAC relays hosted by Mt. San Antonio College.
“This weekend is a great opportunity, especially for our distance runners,” head coach Ed Eyestone said. “Mt. SAC is one of our most important meets of the year.
BYU is trying to qualify three or four more women to the NCAA Mountain regionals meet at the end of outdoor season.
Freshman Shea Martinez will be looking for qualifying marks in the 800m as well as the 1500m, while senior Andrea Nelson Harrison has already qualified for the 3000m steeplechase, but will be looking to improve her ranking in the invitational section this weekend. Junior Makenna Smith will be looking for a qualifying mark in the 10,000m race.
