Eleven awarded All-Academic honors

NEW ORLEANS- Eleven members of the BYU women’s track & field team have been awarded with All-Academic honors by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2013 season.
A total of 710 women from 187 institutions recieved All-Academic honors. The Cougars' 11 honorees placed them in a tie with two other teams for fifth most. To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have maintained certain academic and athletic standards:
- Compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25
- Finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event (indoor)
- Ranked in the national top 48 in a relay event (indoor)
- Participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships, including preliminary rounds (outdoor)
