Two athletes named All-Americans

PROVO, Utah – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced today that two members of the BYU women’s track and field team earned All-America honors at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships.

Kelsey Brown was awarded second-team All-American honors in the 800-meter run while Natalie Stewart earned honorable mention accolades in the 400-meter dash.

Brown, a junior, took ninth in the 800-meters at the NCAA Championships by clocking a time of 2:04.36, falling just 0.16 of a second short of the final round and earning first-team honors.

Stewart, a senior, ended her BYU career by taking 23rd in the NCAA championships, covering 400 meters in 53.84.

Brown will compete in the U.S.A. Track and Field Championships beginning June 20 in Des Moines, Iowa.
