Cougars To Host Southern Methodist

Coming off a week's rest, the BYU women's tennis team will again be in action Friday when it hosts Southern Methodist in a dual match starting at 3 p.m.

The Cougars, currently ranked 54th in the country, are led by senior Eline Chiew. Chiew, senior from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is ranked 51st in singles and currently has a 12-6 record.

The Mustangs, currently ranked No. 65 in the country, are coming off their first victory of the season, a 9-0 victory over Lamar. The match with Lamar was only the second dual match of the season for SMU. They were defeated by Baylor 8-1 on Feb. 9.

After the match with the Mustangs, the Cougars will return to the road. They travel to Wisconsin to face the Badgers on Mar. 2.
