Cougs Head To Texas

Coming off a sensational stretch of play, in which the Cougars defeated Colorado State, No. 53 Purdue, No. 19 Mississippi, and Wisonsin, the Cougars are heading to Texas for a three match road trip.

The trip will include matches against Texas Christian on Febraury 8, Southren Methodist on February 9, and Rice University on February 10.

Each of the schools are nationally ranked. TCU is ranked the highest at No. 29, Rice is at No. 62 and SMU is at No. 66.

The Cougars are playing well with a 4-1 record to start the season. Jodi Richardson recently defeated the No. 7 player in the nation when she beat Mississippi's Julie DeRoo, 6-2, 6-4.

Brooke Ferney has also played well for the Cougars. She played the No. 1 spot when Richardson was injured and won easily over Vanessa Raud of Wisconsin, 6-1, 6-2.
