PROVO, Utah — Cougar nation gathered to celebrate the coming 2022-23 athletic season at the 17th annual Cougar Kickoff at the Student Athlete Building on Wednesday.

After a two-year hiatus, the Kickoff provided fans the opportunity to mingle with student athletes. Fans were also treated to a close-up of BYU athletic facilities including the football weight room and year-old renovated locker room.

Head coach Holly Hasler along with student-athletes Jacque Dunyon and Avery Pope were there to meet and have fun with fans.

Dunyon and Pope challenged fans to ping pong throughout the evening and enjoyed mingling with the Cougar faithful.

"It's such a blast," said Dunyon. "It's so fun seeing everybody, and so many people came out,"

The event also included an assortment of activities, food vendors, prizes and giveaways.

"It was so great to be able to spend time and play games with the people who cheer us on all year," Pope added.

Women's tennis begins its fall season at the Air Force Invitational Thursday, Sept. 15 in Fort Collins, Colo.
