PROVO, Utah – BYU women’s tennis (1-5) looks to shake their recent losses as they host their home opener in a doubleheader as they welcome Boise State (0-0) and Dixie State (0-4) on Saturday, Feb. 5 at the BYU Indoor Tennis Courts.

Boise State has yet to play a dual match this season, competing in the ISU Fall Invite, WSU Cougar Classic, Barb Chandler Classic, and ITA Regional Championships in the fall and the Long Beach State Invite last weekend. The Broncos will compete against the Dixie State Trailblazers in Provo on Friday, Feb. 4, before playing BYU Saturday.

Boise State finished the 2020-2021 season 12-6 with a 5-2 loss to BYU. The Cougars lead with a 15-3 all-time record over the Broncos.

Dixie State looks to come back to BYU for the second time ever after falling 7-0 in both matches in its doubleheader to the Cougars. Dixie State finished the 2020-2021 season 5-15. The Trailblazers are on a four-match losing streak after competing against Utah (doubleheader), Idaho State and Weber State, winning one doubles point against the Wildcats.

BYU will host Boise State at 10 AM MST and Dixie State at 4 PM MST.
