Nabieva and Poulsen named to WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll
SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Two BYU women’s tennis players were named to the West Coast Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the 2015-16 academic year.
Both junior Natella Nabieva and senior Nicolette Poulsen received bronze honors with a 3.38 GPA and 3.17 GPA, respectively. Nabieva went 9-11 in singles on the season while Poulsen posted a 12-11 singles record. This is the first WCC honor roll recognition for both players.
The honor roll recognizes student-athletes throughout the conference that excelled in the classroom as well as for their respective teams. Student-athletes must have earned a varsity letter while completing an average of 12 credit hours per term and maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher. The honor roll is split into three honors based on GPA: gold (3.75-4.00), silver (3.50-3.74) and bronze (3.00-3.49).
Over 1,300 student-athletes from the WCC qualified for recognition, setting a conference record for the third-straight season. For the full release visit the WCC website.
