Atkinson, Yacaman Garner Academic Recognition
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (July 23, 2012)— Freshmen Lauren Atkinson and Maria Yacaman have been named to the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-American Scholar Team.
The two are among 602 women’s collegiate golfers that were recognized with the prestigious honor. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
The latest academic accolades are the second for both student-athletes. Earlier this month they were named to the West Coast Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
Yacaman finished her freshman season with a 3.96 GPA, listing pre-management as her major, while Atkinson concluded her first year with a 3.54 GPA in comparative literature.
