CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — BYU women’s golf is currently ranked No. 23 in the Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll released Friday by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.

“I am very pleased with our performance during the fall season," said BYU head coach Carrie Roberts. "Lila [Galeai], Annick [Haczkiewicz] and Allysha Mae [Mateo] really led our team with some good golf this fall. Adeline [Anderson] and Kerstin [Fotu] each put together some good rounds when we needed them. We are excited to keep working to prepare for the 2022 spring season."

BYU competed in four events during the 2021 fall season and tallied two wins at the Dick McGuire Invitational at the University of New Mexico and the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship hosted by the University of Tennessee.

They also recorded a third-place finish at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic in Denver, Colorado, as well as a fifth-place finish at the Dale McNamara Invitational in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tuesday.

The top-5 finishes in all four fall events vaulted the Cougars into the WGCA Coaches Poll for the first time since April of 2017. BYU is also ranked No. 23 in the recent Golfstat Top 25 Women's DI Poll released on Oct. 13.

The next Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll is scheduled to be released on Friday, Nov. 19.
