Batty finishes 10th in 1,500 meter final
EUGENE, Ore. – Former BYU Cougar Miles Batty finished 10th in the 1,500 meter final at the USA Track & Field Olympic Trials on Sunday.
Batty qualified for the final after strong performances in the preliminary and the semifinals on Thursday and Friday. He turned in a 3:43.58 performance in the final.
The top three finishers on Sunday qualified for the London Olympics, which begin July 27. Leonel Manzano, Matthew Centrowitz and Andrew Wheating finished one through three in the 1,500 meter final and will represent the U.S. in the Olympics.
