PROVO, Utah -- With the Mountain West Conference Championships on the horizon, BYU’s track teams are getting one final tune up at the Twilight Invitational on Wednesday at the Clarence F. Robison Track in Provo.

“For a lot of our athletes this is it,” head coach Mark Robison said. “With the conference championships in a week or so are finally getting some good weather and it is going to be a really important meet.”

For several athletes this is the last chance to improve their marks before the championships and for some not attending it will be the end of their season. Athletes will compete against mostly local competition from Utah State, Utah, UVU, Southern Utah and Weber State.

Teams are looking to finally enjoy time outside with weather in the mid-60’s and no rain in the forecast. The outdoor season has been tough on most local teams with Utah’s winter lasting into what should be the early spring.

“I think we are finally going to have the weather cooperate,” Robison said. “It looks good and we are really looking forward to being able to enjoy some great performances in great weather.”

Events will get underway at 12 p.m. MT and conclude at approximately 7 p.m. MT. Fans can attend the meet for $5 and those with All-Sports passes can attend for free.
