PROVO -- The BYU track and field teams came out of the NCAA Outdoor Championships with four All-Americans as named by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association today.

Three of the student-athletes honored came from the men's team with two of those competitors competing in the javelin. Junior Blaine Baker finished ninth and junior Sean Richardson came in 11th to each take their first All-America honors.

Senior Richard Nelson finished in eighth place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to garner his second All-America in the steeplechase and run BYU's streak to eight-straight years with at least one All-American in that event.

Senior Mindy McClurkin finished with the highest place of any BYU competitor, taking third in the long jump for her second-career All-American title after earning the award in the indoor long jump in 2007.
