OGDEN -- Wind and cold hampered No. 11 BYU’s last regular season meet at the Wildcat Twilight Invitational on Wednesday.

Kevin Ahlstrom improved his time in the 400-meter hurdles while winning the event. Lance Walker came in second with his own personal-best time.

James McCallister also set a season-best time of 48.13 in the 400 meters, taking first. Ryan Waite took second in a new best time.

Other winners on the track include Robert Harrison in the 1,500-meter run while Rhyan Atrice finished tops running the 200 meters.

Three Cougars also finished first in the field events: Myller DeAraujo won the long jump, TJ Emrich won the pole vault and Daniel Lawson won the shot put.

“We competed well, we just didn’t get some of the marks we wanted,” said BYU head coach Mark Robison.

BYU will travel to the Mountain West Conference Outdoor Championships running May 12-15 next week in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
