Robison Invitational to Begin Wednesday

PROVO -- BYU track and field will be in action for the second home meet of the outdoor season at the annual Clarence Robison Invitational this weekend at the Clarence F. Robison Track and Field complex.

This season’s Invitational will feature top competition from eight programs, including Barton County Community College, Boise State, Idaho State, Southern Utah, Utah Valley, Utah and Weber State, along with BYU.

Multi-event athletes competing in the men’s decathlon and women’s heptathlon will start their events on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. MST and will conclude on Thursday afternoon.

Friday’s field events will begin with the women’s javelin at 11:00 a.m. MST and will conclude at 3:30 p.m. MST with the women’s long jump. Running events on Friday will begin at 1:00 p.m. MST with the women’s 100-meter hurdles preliminaries and will finish at 3:50 p.m. MST with the finals of the men’s 5000m run.

On Saturday the field events will begin at 10:00 a.m. MST with the women’s hammer throw and will finished at 3:00 p.m. MST with the men’s triple jump. Saturday’s running events commence at 1:00 p.m. MST with the finals of the women’s 4x100m relay and are scheduled to conclude at 4:25 p.m. MST with the finals of the men’s 4x400m relay.
