Olympian McAdams Competes at World Championship

Former BYU All-American Joshua McAdams competed in the 12th IAAF World Championship in Berlin, Germany on Wednesday, August 16.

Under the watch of McAdams' former coach and current BYU coach Ed Eyestone, McAdams ran in the second heat of the 3000-meter steeplechase, competing in his second appearance in the World Championships. McAdams also ran the 3000 meter steeplechase in 2007 in the World Championship in Osaka, Japan.

This year, McAdams recorded a time of 9:02.19 and failed to advance to the finals of the event.

McAdams, a Mountain West Conference and National Champion in the 3000-meter steeplechase for BYU in 2006, also competed in last year's Summer Olympics in the same event at Beijing, recording a time of 8:33.26.
