Men's track named All-Academic Team
PROVO -- The BYU Men’s track & field team was one of 67 Division I men’s team programs to be named a 2009 All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The USTFCCCA also honored seven other Mountain West Conference teams as All-Academic teams.
To be nominated and receive this honor, a team must maintain a minimum 3.00 cumulative grade-point average. The Cougars carried a 3.130 GPA throughout the 2009 season, the 27th-best team GPA in the country among Division I schools.
In 2008, the BYU men and women’s teams were the two MWC programs to earn All-Academic status from the USTFCCCA.
