The sophomore’s race surpassed his prior personal best by 0.26 seconds from May 2022’s Last Chance Invite, also at the Robison Track & Field Complex. Jace Jensen - a member of the 4x400-meter relay squad that set a school record last month - finished close behind at 52.04.

Chase Clement posted a strong outing in the javelin throw with a new personal best of 65.38m/214-6. The Southern Utah transfer improved upon his best collegiate performance by a foot and a half. Brinton Paulson tossed a 63.87m/209-6.5 to place second.

No. 8 Dallin Shurts recorded a 60.36m/198 heave to place first among all discus throwers as Danny Bryant took second at 53.18m/174-5.7.

Caleb Witsken, currently ranked No. 11 among the nation’s pole vaulters, finished second in the pole vault at 5.36m/17-7. Nathan Burnett came in third with a new personal best of 5.26m/17-3 to surpass his last mark of 5.17m/16-11.5 set last month.
