Sprints and hurdles compete during day three in Austin
AUSTIN, Texas – Men’s sprints and hurdles were featured in the third day of the Cougars’ competition at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Friday.
Jared Davis clocked a personal-best in the 110m hurdles for the second straight meet. At 14.67, Davis edged Auburn’s Tray Reynolds by 0.01 seconds to finish 23rd of 48 and improve by 0.21 seconds on a personal-best set a week ago at the Trojan Invitational.
Dallin Draper came in 22nd of 92 in the 100m. Draper’s top-25 time of 10.46 was just 0.01 seconds off a new personal-best. Despite finishing 72nd in the 100m, Easton Bianchi clocked a personal-best at 10.71.
Davis, Draper and Bianchi joined Landon Maxfield in the 4x100 relay. The BYU men’s squad finished 21st with a time of 41.09 while facing a heat with the likes of Auburn, Florida and Texas.
The Cougars conclude competition in Austin on Saturday afternoon with pole vault and 4x400.

Aztec Invitational
BYU throwers began competition today at the Aztec Invitational in San Diego, California. Danny Bryant represented the BYU men in the discus throw and recorded an eighth-place finish with a mark of 49.43m/162-2.
