PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s track and field announced that Tomi Adegoke, Zac Jacklin and Chandler Swaney have signed national letters of intent to compete for the Cougars beginning in the 2015-16 season.

Adegoke, a senior from Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California, placed third at the 2014 Simplot Games and ninth at the 2014 Arcadia Invitational in the triple jump.

“We’re very excited to get him,” BYU head coach Ed Eyestone said. “He’s a phenom in terms of the jumps and hurdles. He’ll be a great addition to the team in the jumping events and hurdles.”

Adegoke’s personal best in the 110-meter hurdles is a time of 14.26. His best in the triple jump is 45’2.40’’.

Zac Jacklin, a senior from American Fork High School, was the 2014 Utah Cross Country State Champion. He also placed third at the Nike Southwest Regional Championships in 2013.

“He had the fastest time of all the divisions and had the most dominant victory out of all the divisions,” Eyestone said. “I think he has all the tools and will have a nice future.”

Jacklin has a personal best of 9:21.11 in the 3200m.

Swaney, a senior at Desert Hills High School in Saint George, Utah, was the 2014 Utah State Champion in the high jump and long jump.

“He will be another really good jumper for us,” Eyestone said. “He will come in and provide some great help right away in the high jump and long jump.”

Swaney’s personal bests includes jumping 6’9’’ in the high jump, and 23’0.5’’ in the long jump.
