BYU men head to Stanford
PROVO, Utah—BYU men’s track and field will travel to Palo Alto, Calif., this weekend to compete in the Stanford Invitational.
"This is obviously a big meet for us, especially for our mid-distance and distance athletes. We hope to get six or seven regional qualifiers on the men's side, so there is potential for us to really have a good weekend."
Jared Ward is looking to post one of the fastest times in the country in the 10,000 meters. Curtis Carr and Tylor Thatcher will lead the Cougars in the 5,000 meters. Steve Flint, Aaron Fletcher and James Tracy will all look to improve their times in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.
The distance events will take place Friday evening, beginning with the 3,000 meter steeplechase at 5:45 p.m. PDT. The BYU sprinters and hurdlers will compete Saturday afternoon. A full meet schedule can be found on GoStanford.com. Visit the event page on BYUCougars.com for live results.
