Postgame Quotes
Head coach Dave Rose

"They are a tough team to guard. They spread you out so well and you need help on ball screens because Lucious is so quick with ball. It turns into rotating all the time. Will (Clyburn) got some open looks and he hit them. I think we ended up playing him better, but he was just really good tonight."

On how they played Brandon Davies:
"I think Iowa State played him (Davies) how we had expected," Rose said. "When we throw the ball into him, he will draw a second and maybe a third defender. Brandon does a really good job with sharing the ball and getting good shots for himself. I thought Brandon handled the pressure pretty well.”

Nate Austin

"We had a game plan going in but when we got down we just couldn't execute. Our team battled the whole time but we missed a lot of shots we usually make. it was a tough loss."

"I felt good about my performance tonight – rebounding the ball and trying to get shots. It's a tough loss but I tried to play well for my team and get the win but, unfortunately, that wasn't the story today."

"We knew coming into this game that they were a team that shot well and took a lot of threes, so we tried to prepare for that. At halftime we tried to make an adjustment to cover their shooters but I think in this game you just have to give them all the credit. They made open shots and even shots when we had a hand in their faces."
