BYU head coach Dave Rose
“It was a long anticipated summer with the change in the Marriott Center and knowing we were going to coach on the other side of the floor.”

“The first 10 minutes of that game seemed quite a bit different from the previous games that we’ve played in the Marriott Center. By the end of the game it felt really good. I thought it was a great set up and I thought our students were terrific for a really early season exhibition game. I’m excited for our guys, I’m excited for the season and look forward to a lot of hopefully successful nights here in the Marriott Center.”

“Our post guys played especially well; Brandon, Nate, Ian, Josh and Agustin. I thought we had an advantage tonight. They are a pretty skilled inside group, but I thought that we were a little bit more mobile and able to run the floor, and get the ball in spots where we wanted it.”

Brandon Davies
"First off, I think we had a lot of fun tonight. We shared the ball well. Everyone contributed and everyone made positive plays for us. It’s nice to beat up on someone else for a change. I think it helps the new guys get rid of some jitters. For the most part I think everything flowed well. Our plays were great and we can take a lot of positives from this.”

“We go through everything in our playbook, even in a game like this. We try to get our timing right. We go hard in practice, but everyone knows our plays so it's a little different. It’s hard to get things done, but going against a team who doesn’t know our plays helps us see what works and what doesn’t.”
