In preparation for its first round game against Iona in the First Four of the NCAA Tournament, BYU basketball participated in media activities and practiced at University of Dayton Arena on Monday. The Cougars and Gaels — both No. 14 seeds — play Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on truTV and KSL Newsradio 102.7 FM/1160 AM.

BYU Head Coach Dave Rose
"Once the ball's tipped, it comes down to execution and it comes down to effort. Hopefully your team can start to play the way you've played all year long, in this environment, as soon as possible."

"With a really quick turnaround, the biggest concern for us is to try to play the way we want to play and to try and slow them down somehow."

"What I want to do is get our guys into the flow of the game of how we play and that's an uptempo, fast-paced game. What we really have to concentrate on is transition defense and to make them take contested shots. Their point guard is as good with the ball as anybody we've ever played. They play together and they share the ball."
