Davies Named WCC Player of the Week
SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- BYU junior forward Brandon Davies is the West Coast Conference Player of the Week after leading the Cougars to wins over No. 24 Gonzaga and Portland. He averaged 16.5 points, nine rebounds and 4.5 steals per game, while shooting 56 percent from the field. Against Gonzaga Davies posted 15 points on 7 of 12 shooting, adding five rebounds. At Portland Davies flirted with a triple-double with 18 points, 13 rebounds, a career-best eight steals (one away from a BYU record), four assists and one block.
Davies is just the second two-time winner, along with Gonzaga's Kevin Pangos this year.
