CBSsports.com has named BYU’s Brandon Davies No. 78 on its list of the top 100 players for the 2011-12 college basketball season.

Davies helped BYU claim a share of the 2011 Mountain West Conference title and achieve a team record 32 victories. The native of Provo, Utah, earned third-team All-MWC honors while averaging 11.1 points and 6.2 rebounds.

Davies, a 6-foot-9 junior forward, is BYU’s leading returning scorer and rebounder. The Cougars enter their first season as members of the West Coast Conference in 2011-12. In each of the last five seasons, BYU has won at least 25 games and advanced to the NCAA Tournament each year.
