Davies Readmitted to BYU
PROVO, Utah (August 26, 2011) — Brigham Young University today announced that Brandon Davies has been readmitted to the university and has enrolled for classes for fall semester 2011. With his readmission to the university, Davies has been reinstated on the BYU men’s basketball team.
Davies started 26 games as a sophomore for the Cougars in 2010-11, averaging 11.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 24.9 minutes per contest. The Provo, Utah, native posted season highs of 24 points, 15 rebounds, three assists and three blocks and shot .525 from the field and .674 from the free throw line.
Davies earned All-Mountain West Conference Third Team honors while helping BYU earn a share of the 2010-11 MWC regular season title. Davies has played in 64 career games for the Cougars with averages of 8.0 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. He will be a junior this coming season.
