Fredette on the ESPYs Tonight

Jimmer Fredette is a finalist for Best Male College Athlete at the 2011 ESPYs, which will be presented tonight at 7 p.m. MT live on ESPN.

Fredette was the nation’s leading scorer in 28.9 points per game and led the BYU to 32 victories and the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament. He was the consensus National Player of the Year and was the 10th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft.

The Glens Falls, N.Y., native concluded his four-year career as BYU’s all-time leading scorer with 2,599 points. Fredette is also BYU’s all-time leader in three-pointers and is among the all-time leaders in assists and steals.
