Fredette Earns Fifth Player of the Week Honor
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – BYU senior Jimmer Fredette has been named the Mountain West Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for games through January 16. This is the fifth weekly accolade of the season for Fredette and 12th of his career.
Fredette registered the third- highest single-game scoring performance in Mountain West history with 47 points in the Cougars’ 104-79 win at Utah last Tuesday. The senior guard from Glens Falls, N.Y., went 16-of-28 (.571) from the field, including 6-of-9 (.667) from 3-point range, and hit all nine free throw attempts while adding six assists, four rebounds and two steals.
