Postgame Quotes

BYU Head Coach Dave Rose

“We got some really, really good plays from our two senior guards tonight. I’m really proud of how Jimmer and Jackson handled all the different situations. It’s a challenge to be really aggressive, but be patient. We had a tough time getting started, but Jackson and Jimmer really led us through.

“After the first eight or nine minutes, we started rebounding the ball really well and it helped us get some baskets."

“It’s a good team. I’m really impressed with UTEP. They have long, athletic, really skilled players.”

UTEP Coach Tim Floyd

“I thought we lost our poise. To lose it, you had to have it and we did at the beginning of the game.”

On Jimmer Fredette:

“He is a terrific player. He is able to create plays for himself. He doesn’t strictly use his right hand like many people think.”

“It was a good game. We just could not get back in it.”
