Quotes

BYU Head Coach Dave Rose

“It was a great team win. You take a look at the numbers and it’s amazing how we shared the ball. We had a couple guys really step up and help us rebound the ball.”

“We relied so much on Jimmer this weekend that it was nice to see him trust his teammates and then everybody come through.”

“It was a really big win and should go a long way to build the confidence and chemistry of this group.”

On the BYU defensive effort:

“I’m glad that the guys are starting to really come together in their defensive assignments. We didn’t do everything exactly right as far as allowing shots but we didn’t make mistakes where guys didn’t know what they were doing. Our guys were really dialed in defensively.”

On Brandon Davies:

“He was really on a roll and they didn’t have an answer for him. Brandon was really dialed in tonight. He was not only scoring the ball, but he was rebounding and if we get consistent play like that from him I think this team can make some real steps forward.”

BYU Guard Kyle Collinsworth

“It’s a big win for us. It’s our first official road game in our blue uniforms. In front of a big crowd like this it’s always nice to come away with a victory.”

“It’s good to be able to win close games because we will have experience at the end of the year.”

On the BYU defensive effort:

“It’s just five guys that are all on the same page and we know what we need to do. We’re all playing with energy and trying to rebound, especially on the defensive end, and only give them one shot.”
