BYU head coach Dave Rose

“It was a good win for our team. We had a quick turnaround from Saturday and I was happy with the way we played defense and challenged shots.”

"We were ready to play. We played good defense in the beginning of the game and had good offensive drives to close it out.”

“It was a different atmosphere, a different environment [than Utah] but the same challenge.”

“TCU did a terrific job of controlling the tempo. They did a great job of getting back in transition. It was tough to get good looks in transition but we got a lead and kept it.”

“The way they guarded Jimmer left Noah with chances to catch the ball and get clean looks. He was confident and took shots.”

“You have to win games that are like this. This game had a different feel. We missed open shots that we normally make. You have to win those types of games and we did.”

“That’s the way we play. We like to get the ball in the post and play off our post guys.”

“Jackson was terrific on Moss. As a team, we guarded him well. Our concerted effort to get the ball out of his hands went really well in the first half.”

“Charles played on attack. He rebounded well and shot free throws well.”

"Hopefully, we get off to a better start and get on top of the game more against UNLV. New Mexico was a struggle the whole game.”

TCU head coach Jim Christian

“I’m proud of my guys tonight and the effort they put on defense. I feel that we really guarded BYU well. We did a great job at attacking the ball and crashing the boards tonight, and that is to be commended.”

“Offensively we did alright. We played unselfish ball but we missed some big plays and easy baskets. BYU is such a great team, and to beat them on the road you really need to make those easy baskets. When teams don’t take advantage of those big plays and easy buckets BYU quickly takes control of the game.”

“Jimmer is by far the best player in the conference and one of the top players in the country. He keeps his composure during the game and doesn’t get easily rattled. He is a strong leader and a talented player. More importantly, BYU is an excellent team. They spread the floor well and run in transition better than any team we’ve played. I would attribute Jimmer’s success to the support and talents of his teammates.”
