On Haws’ career night: “I thought Tyler was terrific tonight. I knew that with the press break Tyler would find himself with the ball in a position to make a decision and he did a great job tonight.”

On Fredette’s recovery: “We will re-evaluate Jimmer after this game. I don’t know if he was fatigued but as of right now I expect to see him at practice tomorrow.”

On team’s second half play throughout the season: “Right now this team is playing with a lot of confidence and I feel that we get better as the game goes on which is a sign of a good team. I think sometimes fatigue plays a role in basketball games and we have a great amount of depth on this team which helps us in the second half of our games.”

On BYU guard Tyler Haws: “I think he is going to be the Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year with the way he is playing. He is a very underrated rebounder and he can constantly knock down the threes. He reminds me a lot of Travis Hansen.”

On BYU: “I think this is the best team I have seen in a long time. They are very unselfish and play with a lot of team unity. They are a very good basketball team. I think they have the potential to make it through the first few rounds of the NCAA Tournament this year.”

On his career night: “I came into this game wanting to find rhythm but I have to give my teammates a lot of credit because they were able to drive in, draw defenders and then find me open.”

On BYU’s success thus far this season: “We have to focus on one game at a time but this is a great group of guys who work hard as individuals and as a team. It is definitely fun to be a part of something like this.”

On playing SDSU on Saturday: "They are a great team and they have been very successful this season. We are going to have to play hard especially at their place."

On team’s ranking: "It’s incredible. We expected big things out of this team because we had most of our guys returning but the other night I just looked at our team and thought 'Our group of guys is in the Top 25.' We’re still not satisfied though, so we will continue to play hard."
