Player Notes

— Tyler Haws earned the first start of his career, replacing Charles Abouo who started the first two games of the season.

— Davies, fouled on the Cougars' third basket of the game, was hit in the face while converting the field goal. Noah Hartsock, came off the bench to convert the three-point play.

— Jimmer Fredette assisted on 4 of BYU's first 5 baskets. He had six assists and no turnovers at halftime and finished with a season-best 8 dimes.

— Four Cougars scored in double figures: Jimmer Fredette (20), Jonathan Tavernari (17), Tyler Haws (12) and Jackson Emery (11).

— Jonathan Tavernari's 17 points pushed the senior forward past Joe Richey into 23rd place on BYU's all-time scoring leaders with 1,191 points. Tavernari needs just five points to jump another spot and supplant Eldon Brinley for 22nd on the list.

— Tavernari also had two steals, giving him 119 for his career and sending him past Randy Reid's 118 for 8th on the Cougar career list. Tavernari is now five steals away from tieing Matt Montague's career mark of 124.

— With seven more 3-point attempts, Tavernari is now three attempts behind all-time leader Mark Bigelow, 559-556.

— Tavernari's three successful three-pointers put him at 208 for his career, six away from passing Mark Bigelow for the school record.

— Dave Rose earned the 100th victory of his career as BYU's head coach, improving to 100-34 (.746) overall. He reached the 100-win plateau faster than any coach in BYU history. Roger Reid previously held the record, achieving the mark in 143 games.
