Las Vegas Classic Field Announced

LAS -- The Las Vegas Classic, one of the nation's premier college basketball tournaments, is pleased to announce the 2009 tournament lineup. BYU (25-8 in 2008-09), Nevada (21-13), Tulsa (25-11) and Nebraska (18-12) headline the ninth annual Christmas tournament.

The field of eight teams also includes Wagner, Jackson State, Chicago State and Eastern Washington. Each team will play four games — the first two at campus sites, and the final two at the beautiful Orleans Arena in Las Vegas on Dec. 22 and 23. BYU hosts Wagner and Eastern Washington on Dec. 17 and 19, respectively. Both games are schedule for 7 p.m. starts and will be televised live on BYU TV.
