PROVO -- Former BYU All-Star Travis Hansen will host the 2009 Charity Basketball Camp from July 8-10 at the Flash Factory in Lehi for boys in third through 12th grades.

Camp times are from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for boys in third and fourth grade; boys in grades five and six will have their camp from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., while those in seventh through 12th grade will receive instruction from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. The cost for the three-day camp is $79. Registration and additional information is available by calling 801-377-1423 or by logging on to www.travishansen.com.

Those who register will be automatically entered into a drawing for prizes and to receive one free training session with Travis.

Hansen, along with a distinguished group of volunteer coaches, will provide camp participants with fundamental basketball skills necessary to become an effective basketball player. In addition, the coaches will share some of their personal experiences that can help the youth in making positive decisions in life.

During the camp’s second day, all participants will join the Little Heroes Foundation that Hansen founded, to help assemble supply kits for children their age living in the Mana village of Mali, West Africa. These children will be attending the newly constructed Little Heroes Academy in the fall. Campers and their families are encouraged to donate school supplies or backpacks, flip flops, packaged toothbrushes and toothpaste for the kits.
