BYU hosts Washington State on Wednesday evening in NIT quarterfinal

PROVO, Utah – With a trip to New York City on the line, BYU will host Washington State on Wednesday, March 23, in the quarterfinal round of the National Invitation Tournament. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. MDT.

Wednesday’s contest will be broadcast on ESPN2. It will also be broadcast live on BYU Sports Network and BYU Radio – Sirius XM 143/89.1 FM HD2 and KSL 102.7 FM/1160 AM.

  • Gideon George scored a career-high 27 points in BYU’s 90-71 victory over Northern Iowa on Saturday evening at the Marriott Center.
  • George’s 27 points are the fourth-most scored by a Cougar in a NIT game as the senior went 9-of-15 from the field and 5-of-9 from 3-point range.
  • Alex Barcello moved up to 25th on the all-time scoring list on Saturday with his 11-point performance against UNI.
