BYU returns to action on Saturday, hosts No. 2 Gonzaga

PROVO, Utah – BYU returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 5, when the Cougars host No. 2 Gonzaga at the Marriott Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.

Saturday’s contest will be broadcast on ESPN. It will also be broadcast live on BYU Sports Network and BYU Radio – Sirius XM 143/89.1 FM HD2 and KSL 102.7 FM/1160 AM.

BYU Notes (17-7, 5-4 West Coast Conference)

  • BYU fell to 17-7 overall and 5-4 in West Coast Conference play following a 73-59 setback to San Francisco on Thursday evening at the Marriott Center.
  • Alex Barcello moved up to 37th on the all-time scoring list following his 25-point performance on Thursday. The senior has scored 1,147 points in 83 career games.
  • Atiki Ally Atiki had a career-night against the Dons with 10 points and four blocks. He is 9-of-9 from the field over the past two games.

  • The Zags own the top scoring offense in the nation scoring over 90 points per game. They also rank first in scoring margin, defensive rebounds per game and field goal percentage.
  • Drew Timme scores a team-high 17.9 points per game for Gonzaga, shooting 60.4 percent from the field, 27.8 percent from 3-point range and 69.6 percent from the free throw line.
