BYU hosts San Diego on Thursday at the Marriott Center

PROVO, Utah – BYU returns to the friendly confines of the Marriott Center on Thursday, Jan. 20, when the Cougars host San Diego. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. MST.

Thursday’s contest will be broadcast on BYUtv and BYUtv app. It will also be broadcast live on BYU Sports Network and on BYU Radio – Sirius XM 143/89.1 FM HD2 and KSL 102.7 FM/1160 AM.

BYU Notes (15-4, 3-1 West Coast Conference)

  • BYU returns to the Marriott Center at 15-4 overall and 3-1 in West Coast Conference play following the Cougars' 71-69 comeback victory over San Francisco on The Hilltop on Saturday.
  • Alex Barcello moved up to 49th on the all-time scoring list with a team-high 18 points against the Dons. The Chandler, Ariz. Native has scored 1,052 points in 78 games as a Cougar.
  • Te’Jon Lucas was 6-of-6 from the free throw line on Saturday, including a perfect 4-of-4 in the final two minutes. The senior guard is shooting 88.2 percent (15-of-17) from the charity stripe in the final two minutes of regulation and overtime this season.

  • Marcellus Earlington is the leading scorer for the Toreros, as the St. John’s transfer is averaging 13.8 points per game. He has scored in double figures in seven of his last eight games, including a season-high 23 against Cal Lutheran.
