With the college basketball season having ended abruptly over concern of the spread of the novel coronavirus, Sports Illustrated has named its top 50 players from the 2019-20 men’s college basketball season.

BYU senior forward Yoeli Childs came in at No. 20 in a ranking that took stats, ‘talent level, importance to team, supporting cast, team success and any other unique circumstances’ into consideration. Childs helped the Cougars to a final ranking of No. 18 in the AP Poll and No. 16 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and a final record of 24-8.

The All-West Coast First Team honoree averaged 22.2 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists. He also earned USBWA All-District honors and is a Top 5 Finalist for the Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Award.
